In searching the censuses
for the various families in my tree, I often run across other
families with the same names. These are included here. Those in bold
type are proven to be of my lines. I've abbreviated the
informaton available. I just couldn't think of a way to include
it here clearly. "m" stands for "Males", "f" stands for
"Females"
I've listed the findings
alphabetically by head of household, unless noted otherwise.
After the Revolution, a Federal census was taken every ten
years, starting with 1790. To date, these censuses are all
available for research up to and including 1930.
In New York State, a census was taken
in 1790, 1825, 1835, 1845, 1855, 1865, 1875, 1892, 1905, 1915 and 1925.
The 1845 census was destroyed. |
