OBIT - FIRESTONE, RUBY HAGA

FIRESTONE, Ruby Haga, 64, of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 10, 2003. She was preceded in death by her mother, Olivene F. Haga. Mrs. Firestone was a graduate of Marion College and Radford College. She retired from Roanoke County Schools after 28 years of service at Burlington Elementary. Surviving is her husband, Harvey Firestone, Jr.; daughter, Rebecca Firestone Bartlett and husband, Jeffrey of Roanoke; grandchildren, Kelsey Bartlett and Matthew Bartlett; father, James R. Haga of Marion; sisters, Betty Haga, also of Marion, and Rosita Davidson of Princeton, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2003 at Simpson-Tharp Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Mike Sage. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Simpson-Tharp Funeral Home. 366-0707
