News/Obit* | 24 July 2005 | EGGLESTON , ANNA HILEMAN Anna Hileman Eggleston , 75, of Lexington, died Thursday, July 21, 2005. She was born on July 25, 1929 in Lexington, the daughter of the late John Daniel Hileman and Nancy Cummings Hileman of Rockbridge County. She was a 1947 graduate of Lexington High School and attended James Madison College in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She was a lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she served on the administrative board and was a member of the Tina Ravenhorst Circle. She offered transportation and support for the elderly and was a volunteer tour guide for several years at the Lexington Visitor Center. Prior to returning to live in Lexington in 1973, she was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Covington, Virginia. She was a member of the Lexington Golf and Country Club and the Lexington High Alumni Association. She is survived by her husband, Gerald F. Eggleston of Lexington; two daughters, Nancy E. Brand and Cynthia E. Robertson and her husband, Thomas J. "Rob" Robertson, Jr., all of Roanoke, Virginia; a son, Gerald S. Eggleston and his wife, Lori R. Eggleston both of Lehi, Utah; and three grandchildren, William F. Brand, IV of Roanoke, John M. Eggleston and Danielle M. Eggleston , both of Lehi. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at the Lexington Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery, following which the family will receive friends at Moody Hall on the VMI Post. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 147 S. Main Street, Lexington, Va., 24450.
