| News/Obit | after 16 April 2004 | Joseph 'Lloyd' McFadden Joseph 'Lloyd' McFadden, 91, formerly of 403 Church St., Clintonville and also formerly of the Laural Manor Emlenton, Pa. passed away on Friday-April 16, 2004 at 5:00 P.M. after an extended illness at the Trinity Living Center, Grove City, Pa. Born in Irwin Twp., Venango County on March 8, 1913 the son of William Ambrose McFadden and Alcy M. Riddle McFadden. Married to Malissa E. Anderson McFadden on Oct 1, 1938 and she survives. Mr. McFadden was self-employed where he operated in the oil business in the southern Venango County area in the Drilling-Cleaning and Pumping of oil wells. He had worked for the Ramage Oil Co. in Bullion, Pa. for over 35 years. He also worked for the Surrena Oil Co. in Clinton Twp for a number of years and also for Meals Oil Company also in Clinton Twp. Mr. McFadden was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church, 409 Emlenton St., Clintonville Pa of which he was an elder of the church, served as a trustee of the church, superintendent of the church and a Sunday school teacher. Mr. McFadden had been the representative to Presbyterian for a number of years as well. Attended the Yard Public School in Irwin Twp. and graduate from the Clintonville High School, Clintonville, Pa. in 1930. Mr. McFadden was quite active in the community having served on the Victory Joint School board for 26 years and also after consolidation in 1964 with Franklin School Dist. served on that board as well. A member of the Scrubgrass Grange since 1936 of which he served as Master of the Grange and also as Secretary and Stewart. Mr. McFadden also was a member of the Pennsylvania State and National Grange. Local member of the AARP-2562 Chapter of Clintonville, Pa. and also a National member of the AARP. Received a 50-year certificate from the State Republic Party for not missing voting in Venango County. Surviving are two sons: Donald L. and wife Ann McFadden of Hornell N.Y.; and William L. and wife Jane McFadden of Kennerdell, Pa. Two sisters: Mrs. Everett 'Ila M.' Warren of Hickory, N.C., Mrs. Eugene 'Ruth' Dodd of Franklin, Pa. and also surviving are 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. Mr McFadden was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter: Mrs. John E. 'Betty Jane' Master, four sisters Mrs. Ray 'Zanah' Fish, Mrs. Glen 'Mary' Mitchell, Mrs. Edwin 'Earla' McFarland and Orpha McFadden and one infant brother: Merle McFadden also one Grand daughter-Rubi Ann McFadden. Family received friends at the Larry L. McKinley Funeral Home, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville Pa. on Sunday-April 18, 2004 from 2-4, 7 - 9. Funeral services were held at the funeral home on Monday, April 19, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Tony Catullo, Minister of the Union Presbyterian Church, Clintonville, Pa. Interment was at the Clintonville Methodist Cemetery, Clintonville Boro, Pa. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Union Presbyterian Church, 409 Emlenton St., Clintonville, Pa. 16372 or to the Scrubgrass Grange, c/o Mary S.
