News/Obit* | 21 February 1957 | Mrs. Gus A. Ziegler Mrs. Catherine Smith Ziegler, 91, Youngstown Rd., RD 2, widow of Gus A. Ziegler, died at 3:30 a.m. today due to infirmities of age. Born in Germany, May 18, 1865, she was a daughter of Mathew and Mary Smith. She had spent most of her life in and around this city. Mrs. Ziegler was preceded in death by her husband in October 1951. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Surviving are the children; Miss Olive M. Ziegler, at home; Mrs. Karl Rohrer, RD 2; Louis N. Ziegler, at home; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was the last of five brothers and sisters. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Services will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Boyd-Myers Home for Funerals, 808 N. Jefferson St., with Dr. Walter Biberich, Westminster College, in charge. Interment will be in Castle View Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Published in the New Castle News, February 21, 1957, Page 22 |
