Strickler graduated magna cum laude and also received the Merck Award for outstanding academic achievement. She was selected to the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society while at Pitt. A 1982 honors graduate of Blairsville Senior High School, she is employed at the Revco Drug Store in Indiana. Walters, both of Indiana, were united in marriage recently in an outdoor ceremony in the garden at the Rustic Lodge of Indiana. The bride is the daughter of George and Rena Strickler of Blairsville. The groom is the son of Donna Walters of Ebensburg and the late Ray Walters. Pastor Timothy Shindeldecker performed the double-ring ceremony. Music was provided by Mary Bender, pianist, and Jo Carter, soloist. The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. She wore an ivory, sleeveless, full-length gown that featured a beaded and sequined bodice and Italian satin, beaded gloves. A matching bead headband sported a shoulder-length veil. Her bouquet consisted of white roses and white stephanotis. The matron of honor was Adrierine Stiteler, Latrobe, sister of the bride. The best man was Martin Warchola, Medina, Ohio, brother-in-law of the groom. A sit-down dinner was held at the Rustic Lodge following the ceremony. The couple honeymooned in Hawaii for 10 days. The bride is a graduate of BlairsviHe High School and the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a pharmacy degree. She works at Revco Pharmacy in Indiana. The groom is a graduate of Central Cambria High School, Ebensburg, and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a business degree. He works for PennDOT in Indiana.
