Surviving are a son, Robert of Parma, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Archie (Nancy) Crum and Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Scott, both of Salem, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Weaver of North Canton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Condie of Beaver Falls, and a brother, Austin Firestone of Hunker. News/Obit | 28 October 1988 | Woodrow W. Firestone Woodrow W. Firestone, 75, of Salem, Ohio, a former resident of Carmichaels, died at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 1988, in the Salem (Ohio) Community Hospital. He was born September 28, 1913 in Connellsville, a son of Austin and Mary Stiliwagon Firestone. His first wife, Sophia Palosky Firestone, died in 1954 and his second wife, Virginia Swaniger Firestone, died in 1985. Mr. Firestone was a veteran of World War II and a retired miner who had worked for the Crucible Steel Co. He later was employed by Wackenhut Security Service at the NASA facility in Cleveland, Ohio. Surviving are a son, Robert Firestone of Parma, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Archie (Nancy) Crum and Mrs. Richard (Shirley) Scott, both of Salem, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Weaver of North Canton, Ohio; nine grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Condie of Beaver and Mrs. Dave (Linda) McCall of Beaver Falls, and a brother, Austin Firestone of Hunker.
