| Note* | Cleo is not found in any definitive records after the 1940 census. It is reasonable to assume she was married in California where the family was living and where her parents both died. A possible match was found o Find a Grave with a Cleo Cross Arrascada who was born 15 Sep 1923 and died in Nevada 14 feb 2002. She is buried in Lone Mountain Cemetery in Lovelock, NV with husband John. His obit says he married Cleo Brown in 1962 in San Francisco, CA. Her memorial gives her maiden name as Cross which suggests she was married to a Mr. Brown before she married John Arrascada. There are no California marriage records to back up either marriage but not all years are covered and these marriages seem to have occurred in years that were not covered in the available marriage indexes. She brought into her second marriage, 2 daughters and a son who would all have been born before 1962. FAG memorial: 97284047 Cleo Cross Arrascada Birth: Sep. 16, 1923 Death: Feb. 14, 2002 Burial: Lone Mountain Cemetery Lovelock Pershing County Nevada, USA Plot: Section A The following is the obit for John Arrascada which was the basis for much of this information: John Arrascada, 74, died Jan. 10, 2001 at Washoe Medical Center in Reno. He was born in Elko, April 18, 1926 to Pete and Bonificia (Salutege) Arrascada. Arrascada moved to Lovelock in 1958. He was a WWII veteran, a one time president of the Pershing County Horseman's Association, a Lovelock Volunteer Fireman Department member and ambulance driver for 34 years, a member of the Pershing County Search and Rescue team for five years. He was married to Cleo Brown in San Francisco, Calif., on Nov. 4, 1965. Surviving are his widow, Cleo Arrascada, of Lovelock, brother Alec Arrascada of Carson City, three daughters, two step-daughters, one step-son, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 15, at the Lovelock Funeral Home. Burial was at the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Lovelock. | |
