A wedding trip to Virginia Beach followed the marriage of Audrey Jean Wilson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Wilson, Garard’s Fort, to Terry Neal Beck, son of Walter Beck, 2868 Cedar St., Bethel Park, Pa.

Rev. Ernest Rhodes, Greensboro, heard the exchange of vows June 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Greensboro Church of the Nazarene, Greensboro, Mrs. Irma Miller presided at the organ for a recital of nuptial music.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a gown of all lace over net and taffeta with a sweetheart neckline, beaded bodice and a train of three tiers of lace. Her three-tiered veil of imported silk illusion fell from a crown of silk taffeta edged in lace. She carried a cascade of roses and orchids.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Asel Kennedy, 133 Richwood Ave., Morgantown, W. Va. Bridesmaids were Grace Wilson, Waltersburg and Linda Beck of Bethel Park. The matron of honor wore a Copen blue floor length silk organza gown and carried a bouquet of carnations. The bridesmaids wore light blue floor-length gowns identical to the matron of honor’s.

Raymond Konapka, 982 Sleepy Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh was best man. Ushers were Glenn Wilson and Larry Wilson, Garard’s Fort, and Alex Yurick of Smock R.D. 1.

The bride’s mother wore a light blue lace dress with matching accessories and a rose corsage,

A reception was held in the Greensboro Fire Hall for 200 guests.

For traveling the bride wore a white lace sheath with white accessories and an orchid corsage. The couple is residing at 3132 W. Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh.

The bride is a graduate of Mapletown High School with the class of 1960 and is employed with the Zurich Insurance Co. in Pittsburgh. The bridegroom is employed as an operator of heavy equipment with the J and M Excavating Co.

Mr. and Mrs. Terry Beck are announcing the birth of a daughter, Christmas Day, 1968. in the Greene County Memorial Hopital, Waynesburg, weighing six pounds, 11 ounces. Her brother is three years old Mrs. Beck is the former Audrey Wilson of Headley Heights. Paternal grandparents are from Bethel Park.

Retired coal miner enjoyed playing golf

Terry N. Beck Sr., 67, of Jefferson, died Saturday, December 18, 2010, in his home.

He was born April 11, 1943, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Walter and Nellie Frum Beck .

Mr. Beck was a retired coal miner with Shannopin Coal Co.

He enjoyed playing golf and woodworking.

On January 16, 1990, he married Roberta Biel, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Terry N. Beck Jr. of Garards Fort; two daughters, Kelly Beck of Long Island, N.Y., and Tracy Medved of Point Marion; two grandchildren, Morgan and Blake Medved; a brother, Thomas Beck of Eighty Four; and two sisters, Karen Kelly and husband Robert of Greensboro and Linda Beck of Greensboro.

He also leaves his faithful dog, Nellie.

Deceased are two brothers, Jerry Beck Sr. and James Beck Sr.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, with the Rev. Bob Randolph officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Amedisys Hospice, 2183 McClellandtown Road, Masontown, PA 15461. Condolences may be expressed online at www.behmfuneralhomes.net.
