Wayne S. Speelman

Virginia Beach - Wayne S. Speelman, 44, passed away on June 4, 2015 after a 10 year courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born on January 15, 1971 to Barbara and Frank D. Speelman in Yokosuka, Japan. He was preceded in death by his father.

Wayne was a member of Gateway Free Will Baptist Church and loved to mow the church property. In his free time he loved freshwater bass fishing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Speelman; mother, Barbara Speelman; daughter, Brianna Speelman; brothers, David and his wife Angel and Tim and his wife Jennifer; sisters, Tammy Schlatter and her husband Brandon and Jodi Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 from 6-8 pm at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd., Virginia Beach VA.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at 11 am at Gateway Free Will Baptist Church, 5473 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, officiated by Pastor Brent Patrick. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gateway Christian Academy. You may offer your condolences at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
