Martha E. Danser, 87, of New Stanton, died Monday, May 17, 2010, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1923, in Blairsville, daughter of the late Norman James Evans and the late Frances Mae McDermott Evans Doyle. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Youngwood. She was a former Sunday school teacher and choir member, a member of Circle I and the Ever-Ready Sunday School Class, a former member of Westmoreland Hospital Auxiliary, Unit 11 chairman and volunteer at the hospital. She was a member of Senior Citizen of the church and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Surviving are her husband, Richard Danser; a daughter, Doreen Latta and her husband, the Rev. James, of Elwood City; a son, Thomas Danser and his wife, Terry, of Scottdale; six grandchildren, Chris Latta, Stephanie Latta, Lynn Dainty, Jody Danser, Jeremy Danser and Ryan Danser; three great-grandchildren, Keith Graft III, Madison Graft and Sydney Dainty; one great-grandchild on the way, Adrianna Dainty; a sister, Esther Askin, of Lower Burrell; two nephews, Daniel Askin and Martin Evans; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by four infant children, a daughter and a set of triplets; her foster parents, Patrick and Pauline Moriaty; and a brother, Thomas "Jack" Evans. Arrangements by the C. RICHARD MCCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Youngwood. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Livermore officiating. Interment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to the Christ United Methodist Church.
