Thomas Tinsley was born in Yorkshire, England ca. 1618 and
immigrated to Virginia in 1638. He married Elizabeth Randolph
and lived in Hanover County. Descendants lived in Virginia,
Georgia, and elsewhere.

Authors: Tinsley, Milton Reuben , 1909- (Main Author). Notes:
Thomas Tinsley (d.1702) married Elizabeth Randolph, and they
immigrated from England to Henrico (later Hanover) County,
Virginia during or before 1689. Descendants lived in Virginia,
Kentucky and elsewhere.
The will of Thomas Tinsley is dated October 9, 1700, in New Kent
Co. It was recorded in 1702. His wife Elizabeth mentioned along
with children Sisily Jennings, Ann Tyler, Thomas, John,
Cornelius, and grandaughter Debroah Payne
"Thomas Tinsley, with his wife Elizabeth Randolph (Randolf),
came to Virginia from Yorkshire England, before 1689, as the
first grant of land was on October 20, 1689. (See an account of
his life here. I do not know the source and cannot vouch for
it's accuracy.) He settled in that part of the country that is
now Hanover County, Virginia, formerly a part of New Kent
County, on Totopotomoi Creek. He died in 1702 and left
