===================================================
Most of the Bullock information came From Barbara Elliot she
states:
I visited St. Mary's County back in 1994 and found the same
information that is in the Thornton Library, Oxford, Granville
Co., NC.
My information that I found came from:
1. History of Rover and the 10th District of Bedford
County---The Bullock Farmily by Willene Bullock Fulton (this is
in Tenn.).
2. Our Bullock Family by Mrs. Estelle Bullock Thomas (wife of
Dr. Nelson Thomas and a descendant of John Bullock of St. Mary's
Co., Md) also found in the Thornton Library at Oxford, Granville
Co., NC . She is long deceased.
3. Benton County Historical Society--Bentonville, Ark. published
in 1991 on Elizabeth Bullock Oakley and Haywood Oakley Family
(this is Arkansas--I visited their graves in 1994)
4. Found in the St. Mary's Co. Historical Society---Bullock
By-Lines--a brief history of Our Bullock Family
1659-1972---Researched and compliled by Ruth Bullock Nesbit
(Historical Soc. book number are 929.2 NIS and 70.536 Q) what
ever that means??
5. Also informarion compiled from The Complete Book of Emigrants
1607-1660 by Peter Wilson Coldham.
6. Archives of Maryland--St. Clements Manor 1659-1762 Col L III
7. History of St. Mary's Co. 1634-1990 by Regina Combs Hammett
8. Life on the Potomac River by Edwin W. Beitzell of St. Mary's
Co. Maryland
9. Maryland Eastern Shore Vital Records 1648-1725--St. Peters
Parish--Talbot Co.
10. Latter Day Saints Records-not much here, just names and
dates.
11. Mrs. Elizabeth Hummell, Genealogist in Granville Co., NC
(she and her father both worked on the Bullocks--both deceased,
information found in the Thornton Library, Oxford, NC).
12. Maryland Calendar of wills Vol 1, 2, 3, 5, 7.
13. Maryland and Virginia Colonials-Genealogies of some Colonial
Families by Sharon J. Doliante---section on the Reeder Family
has Bullock connections to the Reeders and others.
14. Dr. Lewis T. Bullock of Los Angeles, Calif. who has four (5
drawer) file cabinets of information he complied on the Bullocks
in the Thornton Library, Oxford, Granville Co., NC. Dr. Lewis T.
Bullock died in 1963 and was at that time the Medical Examiner
for State of Calif. His files includes many letters to people in
the US as well as many other Countries in
his search for Bullock information and to separate the different
lines.
(there are 3 lines in Granville Co., NC ).
15. St. Mary's Co., Md. Rent Rolls 1639-1771. copyright 1993 by
TLC genealogy
16. St. Mary's Co., Md. Adminstrative Accounts 1674-1720
copyright 1994 by TLC genealogy
17. FTM diskett for Genealogical Records---Maryland Probate
Records 1674-1774
Then I have read the Bob Alvey Farmily records and Barbara Ann
Cecil records. This is just a few of the many references that I
have read and considered and pondered over. I have asked for
your help and that of Linda Reno.
I read with interest your many questions and the care you give
in trying to straightened out the many duplicated names. Any
help you can provide me will be appreciated--as I too am still
looking for additional information that just might appear and
found hiding in another families history.
