"We have exchanged info on Purls earlier. I have recently found
Hezekiah Perrell (PURL) in Fairfield Co., OH with the marriages
of some of the children. I'm trying to determine still if your
Hezekiah PURL is the same as mine. Do you have a spouses name
for Hezekiah. I do believe they are the same I'm just looking
for proof. I noticed in RSL you show them as having been in MD.
Do you know which counties? I will be glad to share the
marriage dates I found if you are interested." Diane Williams

Subject: Hezekiah Purl To: [email protected] "Hello, My
g-g-g-grandfather was Hezekiah Purl, b. 1788 in Maryland of
German descent. His father's name was probably Purrel or a
similar spelling in the 1790 Maryland Census. He was in Lt. Col.
Wm Byrd's Mounted Missouri and Illinois Calvary in the War of
1812 and his wife was Sara born in Tennessee who died in 1860.
My Hezekiah was in the 1820, 1830, & 1840 Censuses in St.
Francoise County, MO, and 1850 in Morgan County, MO. His will
was probated in 1851 in Morgan County with all his children
listed. He had three daughters and three sons. His youngest was
Ambrose who was my g-g-grandfather. He lived his entire life in
Camden and Morgan Counties, MO. If you have any connection to
Hezekiah, please let me know and I will be happy to exchange
data. Thank you very much and good luck in your searches." Jim

"My g-g-g-grandfather was Hezekiah Perrill b. 1788 in Md and
wife Sarah b. 1788 in TN; They lived most of their lives in
Missouri. He sold land in St Francois Co, MO as Perrill and
later used the spelling Purl in Camden Co, MO and died 1851 in
Morgan Co, MO. He had three sons, Ambrose, Uriah, and Enoch and
four daughters, two who married Bond men. Hezekiah was in the
Mo/Il Mtd Mil in the War of 1812. Is Joseph Perrill his father
as he filed two lawsuits in Ste. Genievie Co, MO in 1799?"
John Hughes of St Genevieve Co, St Francois Co bought 80 acres

"I have been told that Hezekiah is the brother of John
Cunningham, Seth, Katherine, Thomas, James, Charles, Margaret
Ann. All these descendants seem to use the PURL spelling. I
found a deed that shows all but Hezekiah listed as the children
of Charles and Eliz. Perrill of Allegany Co., MD and then to
Fairfield Co., OH. There is a will for a Robert Perrill naming
this same Charles as his son. Robert Perrill is also known as
"Mulatto Robin" and is supposedly the origin of the MD Pearl
families. There is alot of new information on the Pearl page by
Clyde Senger." Diane

buried in MO)

out of St Francois Co. Mo. 10/8/18 according to township 38-N it
was in Camden, Co. MO.
I am guessing on this statement I think it might be possible
Elial Donal maybe Elial Donald?
Hezekiah was spelling his last name Purl in 1835."
Farminton, St Francois Co. Mo. a land deed ( some of it is hard
to read) where Mary Austin bought 250 acres of land from
Hezekiah Perril and his wife Sally dated March 1 1823 it was
certified by James Austin Justice of the County Court. The deed
is signed H. Purl and Sally Purl.
Robert Purl, John Purl, Martha Purl, Austin Purl Sarah Purl she
died young were just some of names of slaves that belonged to
Hezekiah, and Ambrose Lee Purl.
