Robert first settled on a farm along the Falls River in Bucks
County. He was a member of the First Assembly under Penn's
Charter at Chester on December 4, 1682. He also represented
Bucks County in the Pennsylvania Assembly in 1682, 1683, 1687,
and 1688. In 1679 Robert received a patent for one hundred
seventy-seven acres along the Delaware River near Pennsbury.
This was confirmed and signed by William Penn on March 9, 1684;
and recorded in Deed Book 2-173 on October 16, 1697."
