He may have lived in Goochland Co Va: His NC land was on south
side of Tarr River on Buffalo Branch---now at about 36 deg 07' N
by 78 deg 22' W in central Franklin Co NC according to The 1967
Bute Co. map of colonial geography by Panthea Anne Twitty and
Panthea M. Twitty.
After Bute/Granville Co NC C:507 of 1758: for next 12 years
records are filled w. sales & exchanges between Wm and his sons
and between the sons. They all lived close to each other- viz.
S. side Tarr River on Buffalo Branch, and all sold out and moved
after Wm Sr.'s death ~1770 except perhaps Thomas. We think it is
pretty unequivocal that these were his sons and dozens of deeds
establish it. At the death of Wm Sr. son Benj. and his family
and his mother the widow Elizabeth moved to GA. etc.
Bute/Granville Co. deed index E (1761-1763): 2 lists an Edward
Moseley as deed grantor, but apparently refers to the Edward
already d. 1749 in New Hanover Co NC."
