Thomas Bell (1617-?), b England, was the son of Sir Robert Bell
of Norfolk, England. Thomas sailed on the Matthew from London,
landing in Jamestown 21 May 1635. After arriving, he married
Mary Neal, daughter of the ship's captain.
John Bell (1605-?) arrived on the ship Safety, landing in
Virginia 10 Aug 1635.
John Bell (1614-?) arrived on the ship George, landing Isle of
Wight 21 Aug 1635.
Richard Bell patented 500 acres north of the James River in May
1637 and 560 acres in Isle of Wight in 1642.
George Bell Sr. proved a nuncupative will 1 Nov 1688 written by
Alexander Webster. Webster named legatees, George Bell Sr., John
Harris, Hannah Brown, daughter of George Brown.
George Bell Sr. wrote his will 22 June 1702, probated 9 Nov
1702. He named his wife Joyce Bell as executor, giving her land
where I now live to hold for time of lease--99 years by Col.
Joseph Bridger. He named son George Bell Jr. and daughter
Elizabeth, saying the remaining estate to be equally divided.
Witnessed by John Davis and Francis Floyd."
