Records), d. 9 Nov 1815, Waverly, PA, age 71 (per gravestone
inscription), married John Phillips 1771 in Pownal, VT. One of 8
children of Joseph(4) and his first wife Hannah (Newton)
Chamberlain.
Lineage: Joseph(4), Samuel(3,2), Thomas(1) Chamberlain. Mary's
husband, John Phillips, lived in Bennington & Pownal, VT, and in
Beekman, NY. Children not listed. Data from Chamberlain Assoc.
News, Vol. 5, No. 1; Vol. 6, No. 3; and from Prentiss Glazier's
Chamberlain Families of Early New England & New York, c1973,
Vol. 2, p. 15. Prentiss Glazier is somewhat uncertain that Mary
is dau. of these parents, but thinks it quite probable. Contact
