Virginia Wills and Deeds, WD 127, D6-129, W2-125, where H.P.
received a grant by patent for 300 Ac. of land on the N. side of
Dragon Swamp in Essex Co., Va. in 1685. From Art Wilkinson,

Eugene Perkins, H.P.'s seventh-great-grandson, recalled in
November 1998 that H.P. was in Virginia in 1631; he got this
information from tax records. He estimated H.P. was born in 1608
and came to Virginia from Cambridge, England, with his wife."
