it sold 4/14/1843 in Lawrence Co., Al.. His wife had died prior
to that date.

Fuller, Elizabeth who md. David Wigen and Frances who md. Samuel
W. Wallace. A Daniel Hodges made aff'dt in Lawrence on 8/4/1851
but did not state his relationship to soldier.]
He lived in Green Co., Tn. and Warren Co., Ga.

Miller of 600 I St - Apt 1209, Sacramento, CA 95814 and it was
in 1994 (she was about 80 then). She says that one legend is
that two of William Hodges sons rescued Judah Benjamin, the Vice
President of the Confederacy, and hid him at the home of Rev.
Moses Hodges, and enabled him to escape to England at the close
of the Civil War. Benjamin's biography confirms the stay at
Moses' home; however, he does not mention the Hodges brothers by
name.
Her line was William M. Hodges (b. 14 Apr 1754) Pittsylvania, VA
m. Elizabeth Kearby and there children were: John Hodges,
Fleming Hodges, Jane Hodges, Andrew Hodges, Moses Hodges,
William Asa Hodges, Elizabeth B. Hodges, Frances Hodges.
William M. Hodges father was John Hodges, Grandfather was Robert
Hodges and Great Grandfather was John Hodges.
John Hodges (b. about 1730) married Mary Brent 25 May 1730 and
their children were:

died at the battle of Northampton. His death is noted in 3 Henry
VI (1.1) though it is placed at the battle of St. Albans, fought
