Mother: Chistina BAUMGARDNER |
Records indicate that after the Pearl Family migrated to
Kentucky, George Pearl , the youngest son of John William &
Christina Baumgardner - Pearl, had a son, Robert Horton Pearl
born in 1808, and a daughter, Emmaline Pearl , born in 1811. We
at present have not been able to determine who the mother of
these children was! We can only surmise that she died some time
between 1811 and 1814, when George Pearl married Polly Fowler,
daughter of Zachariah Fowler in Nelson County, Ky. George
Pearl’s next older brother James Pearl married Polly Fowler’s
sister, Mary Druzella Fowler.
The Pearl family at this time was of the Catholic faith. George
and Polly Fowler - Pearl settled down to farm and raise a family
in the Big Clifty area of Nelson County, Kentucky. They attended
church at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, in the community of St.
Paul, just a short distance west of Big Clifty. Burial: Saint
Paul Catholic Cemetary, Saint Paul, Ky.
Children of GEORGE PEARL and Polly Fowler are:
i. ROBERT HORTON3 PEARL, born 1808 in Nelson County, Ky.;
died October 19, 1877 in Grayson County, Ky.
ii. Emmaline Pearl, born 1811 in Nelson County, Ky; died
February 23, 1853 in Grayson County, Ky.
iii. William H. Pearl, born 1820 in Grayson County, Ky; died
Unknown.
iv. Sarah M. Pearl, born 1829 in Grayson County, Ky; died
Unknown.
v. Mary Pearl, born 1832 in Grayson County, Ky; died
Unknown.
