Josias RANDLE, Jr 96 acres in Brunswick Co for ten shillings
money of VA adjoining Walton's corner. [This is son of John
RANDLE, brother of first
Josias RANDLE - he appears to have moved toward Halifax County]
17 Mar 1761. Deed Book 6, page 624. Indenture made the 17th day
of March, 1761, between Jacob Woolsey and Josias RANDLE, for 10
pounds, conveying 70 acres on North side of the Westward Road
and beginning at William Johnson's corner pine. Witnesses were
Peter Ware (his mark) and Thomas Graham. Indenture acknowledged
in Court on March 23, 1761, by Jacob Woolsey.
22 Mar 1762. Deed Book 7, page 72. Josias RANDLE to Henry
Johnson of Surry County, for sum of 40 pounds, 400 acres in
Brunswick Co both sides of Rocky Run to John RANDLE's corner.
Wit: Robert Gweltney, Thomas Parham, William Johnson, Volentine
White.
27 Nov 1765. Deed Book 8, page 86. Robert Proctor of Brunswick
Co to Josias RANDLE of same 100 pounds. All land adjoining
George Walton Senr 600 acres with meanders of Fountain Creek,
also along Rocky Run. Wit: William Barnes, Thomas Proctor, Titus
Singleton, John Andrews, and Henry Morris.
21 Jul 1767. Deed Book 9, page 43. Josias RANDLE of Meherrin
Parish to Daniel Fisher of St. Andrew's Parish, 150 pounds. Land
in Meherrin Parish adjoining John Walton, Isaac Row Walton, John
Randall (RANDLE), Peter Randale (RANDLE), William Randall
(RANDLE), James Hinton, Jacob Woolsey, Sampson Johnson and
William Johnson. The land where on the said Josias RANDALE
(RANDLE) now lives. Also one other plantation tract on Fountain
Creek by the said Creek the Rocky Run, George Waltons and
Quarrels Swamps 400 acres and considerable personal estate.
1767. Deed Book 9, page 170. Josias RANDALL (RANDLE) and Daniel
Fisher sell Catherine Griffin 100 acres
of land which RANDALL had sold to Fisher above. Part of tract of
land patented to Richard Powell in 1743 and by Powell to Robert
Proctor and by Proctor to RANDLE and by RANDLE to Fisher. On
Rocky Run and is part of a larger tract of land RANDALL sold
Fisher. RANDALL's wife is not mentioned.
26 Jun 1769. Deed Book 9, page 462. Josias RANDLE and Jane his
wife and Daniel Fisher attorney for RANDLE to William Bullock.
Lands in Meherrin Parish, Brunswick Co.
28 Aug 1771. Deed Book 10, page 165. William, John and Peter
RANDLE sell to Josias RANDLE, tract of land in Brunswick Co
adjoining John RANDLE'S line on Brandy Creek to main branch of
Rocky Branch, to William RANDLES line thence back to John
RANDLES line. Josias RANDLE has taken possession and is living
on the said land. Wit: Francis Young, Peter Jackson, Samuel
Jackson.
24 Nov 1772. Deed Book 10, page 536. Josias RANDLE and Jane his
wife of Meherrin Parish, Brunswick Co sell to Benjamine
Champman, 100 acres on Rocky Run including Whittings pond.
Signed by Josias RANDLE and Jane her mark.
02 Feb 1773. Deed Book 13, page 370. Benjamine Chapman of
Brunswick County to Josiah RANDLE of the same for 150 pounds
current money land in Brunswick County.
23 Aug 1773. Deed Book 11, page 157 Josias RANDLE purchased from
John Walton of Brunswick Co, VA, 10 pounds current money, tract
of land adjoining said RANDLE's land and adjoining Isaac Row
Walton's line. No witnesses appeared.
12 May 1774. Deed Book 11, page 332. Josias RANDLE and Jean his
wife of Brunswick County, VA to Richard RANDLE his son of the
said county and Parish for the sum of forty pounds a tract of
land in Brunswick County, VA on Rocky Run to the great
Huttleberry pond, etc. being part of the grant or patent to John
RANDLE, Henry Johnson, Lewis Parham being the place called
RANDALL'S Ordinary, witnessed by Josia Wright, James Parish,
Randle Wolsey and signed by Josias RANDLE and Jane RANDLE.
1778. Deed Book 13, page 112. Josias RANDLE and Jean his wife
for consideration 450 pounds sell Richard RANDLE a tract of land
on Rocky Run in Brunswick County. Wit: William RANDLE, Edmund
RANDLE, Thomas Allen, and Cary Townes. Signed by Josias and Jean
RANDLE.
8 Mar 1779. Deed Book 13, page 255. John RANDLE, deaf, Josias
RANDLE and Jean RANDLE wife of the said Josias RANDLE of the
parish of Meherrin and County of Brunswick of the one part and
Thomas Allen of the same place, that John, Josias, and Jean
RANDLE for and in consideration of the sum of forty five pounds
current money of Virginia sell Thomas Allen a tract of land on
south side of Meherrin River in Brunswick County, on Rocky Run.

RANDLE, Richard RANDLE and Edmond RANDLE.
27 Sept 1779. Deed Book 13, page 361. Josias RANDLE releases
Daniel Fisher from mortgage he made in the purchase of the
property of RANDLE when RANDLE sold out in 1761.
03 Dec 1779. Deed book 13, page 278. Josias RANDLE of Province
of North Carolina, of the one part and William Finch of the
State of Virginia of the other part. RANDLE sells Finch a tract
of land in Brunswick County, VA for six pounds, sixty acres.
Wit: Edmund RANDLE, William Nix, Henry Ledbetter, George Walton,
Thomas Jackson, Thomas Walton. Signed Josias RANDLE.

by the Court that the Plaintif recover against the said
Defendants five pounds Five Shillings the Debt in the
Declaration mentioned and his Costs by him in the Behalf
Expended and the said Defendants in Mercy &c But this Judgment
is to be discharged by the paiment of Two Pounds Twelve
Shillings and Six pence with Interest for the same to be
