Richard died In 1730, Southfarnham. Will Book pages 411-14 dated 17 July 1730, Essex Co. VA: Named brother Thomas as executor in will for son Richard, and brother James as executor for two daughters.

Michael Jenifer and Thomas were very close as evidenced by Thomas Stone's Will naming him as guardian of Thomas' son and giving Michael lifetime rights to live at Haberdeventure. Michael later ventured into politics, and was eventually elected to the First United States Congress in 1789. Later he was appointed Judge of the First Judicial District of Maryland.
