Thomas and his brother Jeffrey inherited large tracts of land
which their father patented in 1657, beyond the head of
Timberneck Creek and between Severn and the Indian Road, and
they also received a grant of 400 acres in Abingdon Parish on
March 6, 1675-6 and he had other large grants in Westmoreland
and Gloucester Counties.
The Quick Rent roll for 1704 lists Jeffrey and Thomas GRAVES as
the only 2 GRAVES residing in Gloucester Co, VA.
In a plat of "Laying out Gloucester Town" in 1707, Thomas is
mentioned as owning Lot #1.
19 Dec 1711, Thomas GRAVES signed a deed of William SMITH

The Abingdon Parish Register of Gloucester County, Virginia

Mother: Catherine INNSKEEPER |
He had 59 acres on Jurdan's Run on North Fork of South Branch of
Potomac River on 19 December 1786 and sold 59 acres above to
Joseph Prater 02/10/1802. He moved to Jessamine County, KY of
the land inherited from his brother Jonathan Sadowsky who had
died in a Revolutionary War POW camp.
Samuel altered his name over the years, changing form Sadowski,
to Sadoski, to Sandusky. I believe the name was anglicized to
match the spelling of the town of Sandusky, Ohio. However some
family members beieve that Sandusky Ohio, was named after the
earlier Antoni Sadowski.
His April 1, 1803 will directs the sale of his entire estate
with the exception of the horses of his daughters Hannah and
Elizabeth and son Jacob and further directs that the proceeds
are to be divided between his daughters Hannah, Elizabeth, Sally
and granddaughter Caty Levenston. Sons John and Anthony to pay
fifteen pounds due to the three daughters and son Andrew
exempted from this payment. He leaves in trust to his brother
Jacob 4/7 of a negro named Alexander entitled by marriage with
Margaret Hornback and appoints his brother Jacob as executor.
In several codicil's he vacilates and eventually frees 4/7 of
Alexander.
