"The Land That Was Pulaski County (In Virginia's Highlands)" Chapter 20 contains a description of McCorkle's Store at New Dublin including a list of customers from 19 June 1774 to the beginning of the Revolution. Some customers were local residents while others were troops stationed nearby. William and Henry Stafford are on the list of customers.

Patsy Stafford (Partlow) was born Nov 13th, 1792. James Stafford was born June 1, 1786. Wm. Stafford was born June 3rd 1788. Hiram Roland Stafford was born Nov 16th 1803.
