I also wanted to add that my line did spell their names
"Hayden", apparently the Census taker misspelled it. One more
thing - My grandmother was Grace Leona Hayden, daughter of
Braxton B. Hayden and Mamie S. Reed. She had several siblings
and I think two brothers that did move up north somewhere. Elmer
Braxton Hayden and Earl Hayden. If anyone has any information
regarding Braxton B. Hayden or Mammie S Reed (married to one
another on Feb. 28th 1889) Please reply to this message. This is
my great-grandfather and grandmother and I am trying to research
