At the request of Nicholas Dawson and William Marshall Jr the
following Bill of Sale was recorded 3 April 1792. where George
Ramsburg has distressed property of the said Charles Atkins for
rent. Looks like ND&WM put up 5 shillings to buy what was left
by Ramsburg; 900 lbs tobacco, 25lbs Flax, one empty? nine pigs,
three cows, and calves, one black mare 9yrs old, one ???????
mare 8yrs old, and three hogs.
Mary Dawson's will in Prince George Co. MD proved 1734/5 names
Sons John, Thomas, William, George, Nicholas.
Wm jr, 1776 & 1777 constable for the lower part of Monocacy
hundred.

I got a copy of the original from the State Archives in
Annapolis. It is on letter size paper folded in thirds and tied
with a faded blue ribbon in a tight bow. Ends must have been
trimmed. The paper itself was starting to fall apart but the
seals were still entact. Ink had faded to a brown color.
"We the undersigned widow and heirs of William Marshall Late of
Frederick County and State of Maryland deceased do hereby
acknowledge to have rec'd of Joseph M. Cromwell adm of the said
dec'd the sum of one hundred and fifty seven pounds fourteen
shillings and eight pence Maryland pounds. that at present being
the full amount of the balance of said deceased estate in his
hands and subject to be distributed among us and we do by these
presents forever acquit, release, and discharge the said Joseph
M. Cromwell Adm aforesaid from any other or further claim demand
or pretention relative to said estate. In Witness where of we
have here to set our hands and seals this 26th day of December
1812. Signed by Elizabeth Marshall, John Rust, William Marshall,
Comfort M. Marshall, Martha Marshall."

the office of the Registor of Willis for Frederick county, Rich

Virginia Frederick County - I James Keith clerk of the court of
the County aforsaid do hereby certify that Mandly Taylor before
whom the within instrument of writing was acknowledge was at
this time of so doing and stats is one of the commonwealths
justices of the peace is and for the county aforesaid dully
commisioned and ???? and that as such full faith and credit is
angel ??? will his offical acts as well within courts of
justices as In testimony where of I have herunto set my hand and
affixed the seal of the said county this 4th day of april 1814
and in the 38th year of the commonwealth. signed JA Keith.
