1 October 1776. Nathan CRAWFORD of Amherst Co. to Benj. MOOR, of
Amherst Co., 200 acs in Rich Cove and both sides of Cove Creek.

"Terrisha Turner held 200 acres on the south side of the James
River in 1749. Patriot service June 21-22, 1781, was given by
Terrisha, when he provided 170 # of beef, 661# of flour, and 21
# of bacon. Terrisha died in 1806-07. His will is found in
Amherst Will Book 4,p 34. The children listed were James,
Stephen, John, Henry, William, George, Mary, Sarah and Terisha.
This may be the family of Henry Turner, married to Anna Enoch.
More research is needed."
