  2. +William Henry CARTER
Family 2 : John GOODRICH

Notes

CONFLICT: Dr. Miller's book references John Bickley's will as source for Mary Anne Bickley's marriage to Soloman Carter. Note: an LDS record states Mary Anne Bickley married Dale Carter in 1764.

Soloman Carter's wife and children, per Dollard chart online: +Mary Anne (surname unknown), abt. 1760, not daughter of John Bickley and his first wife, Mary Hurt (Mary Ann also married John Goodrich.)
"Although many sources and references have indicated that Mary Ann was the daughter of John Bickley and Mary Hurt, this is not correct. John Bickley's will, written six years after Mary Ann had married John Goodrich, refers to his daughter as Mary Carter, rather than Mary Goodrich. In addition to this he also mentions Mary's son John Carter. Mary Ann and Solomon Carter did not have a son John. John Bickley's daughter Mary was the wife of Dale Carter. It's entirely possible that Mary Ann's maiden name was Bickley, but she wasn't John Bickley's daughter." --Dollard tree
