Notes
"Robert married Martha Haynes in Winston County and later
settled in the Lynn Creek community. He died in a hospital in
Georgia during the Civil War. It is Robert and Martha from whom
the present day Brooksville and Lynn Creek Cades (our direct
line) descend.
Robert was a soldier/nurse in battlefield hospitals during the
Civil War. William F. (Bill) Cade of West Point, MS located and
visited Robert's grave in Macon, GA where he is buried with some
600+ Confederate Veterans.
Bill Cade and Carolyn Porter Willis are third cousins.
