John BRISCOE, m. 2nd., 27 Mar 1776, Ann LAMAR, of Queen Anne Co., MD. There was no issue to this marriage, and she died in 1812.


Dr. John BRISCOE, migrated from St. Mary's Co., MD, to the Valley of Virginia in 1752, and was an early settler of the valley in Frederick Co., later Berkeley Co., VA. He was the presiding Justice of the County Court in Berkeley for a number of years. He built 'Piedmont' near Charles Town, VA (1863 WV). (***) Children:

All three are buried in Oak Hill Cemetery. Martha never remarried. Ann Elizabeth had children, and it is reported that somewhere near Chicago, gg grandchildren exist."
