Notes

"The primal ancestor, so far as the records show, of the famity of Joscelin (Jocelin, Josselin, Joslin, etc.) was Aesyetes, born about 1204 B. C., a Trojan of noble family, who, by his wife, Cleomaestra, was the father of Anterior, born about 1239 B. C., who, according to the Homeric account, was not only a Trojan of high rank and one of the wisest among the elders of his native city, but also King of the Cimbri, a people living along the shores of the Black Sea, whose country was a province of Troy. Antenor married Theano, a (daughter of the Phrygian Dymos, or, according to another story, of Cisseus. Her sister, Hecuba, was the wife of Priam, the last King of Troy, and mother of Hector and Paris. Theano, according to the Oracles, was begotten and born under the inspiration of the Goddess Minerva, and was consecrated at an early age a Priestess of Athena. Antenor is claimed as ancestor of Marcomir I, said to have been the first King of the Sigambri, which tribe eventually became incorporated with the Franks."

Father: Daniel Isaac FAURE
Mother: Mary Ann CHASTAIN "the Immigrant"

Family 1 : Jean Pierre BONDURANT
  1. +Jean (John Peter) Pierre BONDURANT Jr.
  2. +Joseph Augustus BONDURANT

Notes

Ann Faure' Rouvierre (L'Orange), Anna L'Orange? Faure; Rhoda Faure?

Ann Faure L' Orange (Daniel Isaac1) was born in France circa 1688.(23) Grinnell's manuscript indicates that Ann was born in 1688 in Buckingham Co., Virginia. This, however, has to be incorrect as Buchingham Co. did not exist until the mid-1700's.

The pedigree chart in The Huguenot, Publication No. 30, page 120, has Ann as the daughter of Daniel Isaac Faure and Mary Chastain. Mary was a Huguenot immigrant as a widow. The immigrant record indicates widow Faure with her four children, but names only her sons Pierre and Jean. It is believed that Ann was one of the daughters and therefore was born in France. Ann died after 1734/1735 in Virginia.

                                                                         ________________________

MARGARET PLANTAGENET Countess of Salisbury

14 Aug 1473 - 28 May 1541

ID Number: I28059

  • RESIDENCE: England
  • BIRTH: 14 Aug 1473, Farleigh Castle, Bath, Wilshire, England
  • DEATH: 28 May 1541, Beheaded in London, England
  • RESOURCES: See: [S1049] [S3766]
Father: GEORGE PLANTAGENET Duke of Clarence
Mother: ISABEL de NEVILLE

Family 1 : RICHARD de la POLE K.G.
  1. +URUSLA de la POLE
  2.  HENRY de la POLE 1st Lord Montagu

Notes

Margaret, Countess of Salisbury --- and Duchess of Suffolk, She was supposedly executed with extraordinary barbarity. She is the last surviving patrilineal _legitimate_ descendant of Richard, [1411-1460, Died in the Battle of Wakefield] 3rd Duke of York, Father of Edward IV and Richard III. One of her sons was Reginald, Cardinald Pole was a mainstay of Mary I. Reginald was not a patrilineal descendant of Richard, [1411-1460] 3rd Duke of York.

Margaret had four sons and a daughter. A description of her life and death in The Complete Peerage, Volume XII, Part II, p. 393. "Margaret, Countess of Salisbury, who died 28 May 1541. leaving issue. She and her brother Edward were both beheaded and attainted( at different times)"

The Complete Peerage, Volume XI pages 399,400,401 and 402 This is the entry for Margaret as Countess of Salisbury. The actual description (by Chapuys) is in a footnote on page 401. Apparently her son Cardinal Reginald Pole was at one stage one vote off from becoming Pope....Margaret, Countess of Salisbury, is also an ancestor of Prince William of Wales.

Leo van de Pas The description of her death I have is : On 12 May 1539 she was, without a trial, attainted by Act of Parliament, whereby all her honours were forfeited. On 28 May 1541 she was beheaded in the Tower. Chapuys, writing to Queen Mary of Hungary, spoke of her "very strange and lamentable execution," which took place "at the Tower in the presence of the Lord Mayor of London and about 150 persons more". In the absence of the executioner, "a wretched and blundering youth was chosen, who literally hacked her head and shoulders to pieces in the most pitiful mattner".
