Subject: Cased photographs of your ancestors and relatives?

Dear ladies,
Having found your web site, I believe that a collection of 10
cased photographs exists in an institutional collection of some
of your Stallworth and McCants relatives. I am a photograph
historian and have examinied these photographs, most of which
can be identified as Stallworths and McCants, and I believe that
the collection may have come to the institution from the
Gainesville AL area. What I need is to have you help me figure
out which ones fit which of your ancestors, and to a
non-genealogy person, moving around your genealogy is a bit
difficult. I have, however, assigned tentative dates to the
cased photographs and the one name I did find is unquestionably
your Lizzie Salina Stallworth 1860-1862. I had dated the
photogaph about 1860.
However, most of the people in the photographs lived
considerably longer. What I hope to do is identify each of the
people in the photographs (only 1 is unidentified), and identify
the person who wrote the inscriptions, a sister of Lizzie
Salina. In exchange I am sure that the institution will help you
obtain copies of the images.
