PROBATE RECORDS


Will of Barbary Pancake, Knox County, Indiana Circuit Court, Will Book B, pages 48-49. Dated March 24, 1847, presented to the Court on August 12, 1856.


I Barbary Pancake of Knox county State of Indiana do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made: and first I direct that my body be decently entered and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my Situation and circumstances, and my worldly estate after first paying all the funeral expenses. I finlly dispose of the Same as follows to=wit--


I grant and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Michal Myers, the wife of Frederick Myers of Said county of Knox, with whom I now reside my mare Saddle and bridle Bedstead and bedding - also, all money on hand, and all due or coming to me by Notes, claims or demands of every nature and kind whatsoever to be and remain hers absolute property forever if She Shall be living at the time of my death, and if She does not Survive me then the Same Shall belong absolutley to her heirs excipting only a
rememberance.


I hereby grant and bequeath to Samuel, David, Frederick and Aron Reel, the children of my other Daughter, now deceased, and nephews of my Said Daughter Michal - Namley I direct that my Said Daughter Michal Shall as Soon as may be convenient after my funeral expenses be paid pay to each one of my Said Grand Children, her nephews Viz Samuel, David, Fredrick and Aron Reel onto their guardians for the purpose of giving one quarter of a year Schooling to Each of them two dollars making in all to be paid to them or for their use as aforesaid, the [sum] of eight dollars and
this and my funeral expenses are the only drawbacks or deductions from my Said Daughter Michal, or her heirs, having and enjoying all my worldly effects of evry Kind and description whatsoever wether the Same be in money, property or claims


In witness whereof I Barbary Pancake, the testatrix have to this my will Set my hand and Seal this Twenty fourth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty Seven
