4. Frances Walton was born circa 1786 in Cumberland County, and died during the 1870s in Appomattox County. Frances married John Scruggs who died during the 1830s.


The family Bible of William Walton (1782-1851) states that his father, Thomas Walton Jr. died on Nov. 21, 1815 and his mother Nancy (Armistead) Walton died on Nov. 22, 1810. They died at Bent Creek, which was then in Buckingham County but now in Appomattox County.
