William Garrard Sr., Margeret's father, and her brother, William
Garrard Jr., are listed as Garrett in the 1820 Crawford County
census.
For some reason alot of Garrard researchers assume our William
was descended from the Col.Wm Garrard of Stafford Co,VA and md.
Mary NAUGHTY. I have not found any reason to believe this!!! He
(Wm b/1760) most likely is related to the above Wm Garrard but
as a cousin.

"John Small came to Patrick Co. with his family, two sons,
Matthew and Henry, both veterans of the Revolution. He died in
1791. His son Henry died shortly after the Revolution,
apparently due to causes from that conflict. His son Matthew
moved on to Wayne Co., KY, and later to Marion Co., TN; and his
descendants spread out south and westward to the Pacific coast.

probably signifies that she was deceased.
This is the only time I have found Thomas Morrow signing his

don't believe that it signifies that his father was Thomas also,
and had died." Source: Margaret Behnke]."
