Josie: A quick note re Martha Cox. I have never been sure that
the Martha Cox who was the second wife of my progenitor Francis
Wright was the same Martha Cox who married John Footman. Boddie
certainly did not think so, therefore I never attempted to put
John Footman there. (Just so you know, I support the data I sent
you, but do not think the Martha Cox who married my Francis
Wright and later John Howell is the same person who married John
Footman. I would appreciate any thoughts on this for posterity.
As shown in my original e-mail, it was recently published
showing John Footman as Martha's first husband by someone whose
research is usually impeccable! Best always, Jo Anne

(2) ca 1707-8, Maj. Francis Wright b. 1659-60 at Chicacoan,
Northumberland Co VA at his grandfather Col. John Mottrom's
estate; d. bet. 28 May and 14 Jun 1713 at Great House Point,
Lower Machodoc, Westmoreland Co VA, where he is buried. Francis
Wright m. Ann Washington who d. bef 11 Mar 1698 at Great House
Point. (dau of Col. John Washington of Westmoreland and Ann
Pope).
Martha Cox m. (3) abt 1714, John Howell who m. (2) Winifred
Lamkin b. bef 4 Mar 1717-18. John Howell and Martha had a
daughter Martha Howell who m. (1) William Davis; m. (2) Samuel
