Will made Dec. 29, 1735. Tricia Hayward Quote from genforum msg board: "There is an entirely separate line of Tylers from Maryland who frequently married into the Duvall family. Many of them lived in Frederick, MD"

President Harry S. Truman, President John Tyler and General Bradley Tyler Johnson, of the Confederate Army were all descended from Robert and Susannah Tyler.

Dr. John7 Tyler - Frederick, MD Posted by: Tricia Hayward Date: January 23, 2000: JOHN 7 TYLER, M.D. born 29 June 1793 in Prince Georges County, MD (probably). Son of SAMUEL 6 Tyler II (1737-1805) and SUSANNA 4 DUVALL (1744-bef 1790). He was "an eminent physician in Frederick Town, Maryland" I have a 13-page handwritten genealogy of the Tyler family dated 1831 addressed to Mr. GRAFTON TYLER from G. DUVALL.

John Tyler married a sister of GRACE CONTEE HARRISON, his sister-in-law, who married his younger brother TRUEMAN7 TYLER (1775-1829). The problem is that I don't know which sister married him. I'm guessing she was a widow. She died October 1831: "His wife died lately much regretted." JOHN TYLER would have been 67. Any help would be appreciated. [email protected]
