"Abraham was a French Huguenot who fled from France to England about 1685 to escape the persecution in France. He remained in Englad for several years under the protection of a distant relative, Lord William De Saye. While in England he married Mary Wilson. He and his wife immigrated to Virginia in about 1700. He was awared a land grant of 385 acres in Goochland County by King George II of England. It is located near the town of Palmyra in Fluvanna County, Virginia."
