there is still a creek in Darlington Co. named Buckholts Creek.
Buckholts also owned land in Marion County, adjacent to
Darlington.
Benajmin Due (abt 1730-Dec 31, 1760) witnessed a deed
transferring 250 A. Of land from Jacob Buchholts, Sr, Planter,
to the Rev. Robert Williams both of Craven Co, SC In the Welsh
Tract on Pigeon Creek on the Southwest side of the Pee Dee river
on May 1758.
Robert Reeves of the Cheraw District married Ann Due Feb 1,
1797

Based on incomplete information, I would guess that the Georgia
line would be (1) Peter Buchholts of Kreisheim, Germany (2)
Heinrich Buchholtz of Germantown, Pa., (3) Jacob Buckholts of
Darlington County, S.C., (4) Peter Buckholts of the Georgetown
District, S.C., [wife Mary], (5) Jacob Buckholts of Liberty
[Marion] County, S.C. [who married Mary Smith], (6) William
Buckholts of Liberty Co., S.C., and Warren, Henry, and Dooly
Counties Georgia, and (7) Peter Buckholts of Dooly County,
Georgia [who married Priscilla]. This is the way it fits
together to me, but I could be wrong about the S.C. Peter
Buckholts and his children. I would welcome your comments, if
you would like.
