Notes

"Ohio Co. (W.) Va.1830. Seth Perrill, m. before 1830, Susan (---); resided Ohio Co. (W.) Va.1830."
This is more than likely NOT the same Seth as Seth I in Natchez, MS in 1828 altho it could be, or Seth II m. Mary Monroe 1837 in Bayou Sara, West Feliciana Parish, LA.

Seth Pearl lived in the Wheeling (West)Virginia area in the early 1800s.

"Wheeling is located approximately 55 miles southwest of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is approximately 120 miles east of Columbus, Ohio. Wheeling on the Ohio River was settled in 1769 by Ebenezer Zane and followers, its name derived from Indian word "Wheelin". In 1774 they erected Fort Fincastle. In 1776, they changed the fort's name to Fort Henry in honor of Patrick Henry. In 1793 the town of Wheeling came into existence when Zane devided the settlement into lots, but was not incorporated into a town until 1806 by the General Assembly of Virginia. Wheeling was the hub of the Northern panhandle, a pre-revolutionary outpost and a stop on the path to the Western frontier. The town was a port of entry during the 18th & 19th Centuries and later became a center for victorian glass, steel, and textiles. 1990 update: Due to the loss of heavy manufacturing jobs, Wheeling’s population has declined from a high of 61,659 in 1930 to 35,000 today. West Virginia is the only area in the Union to become a state twice. The first as a part of the State of Virginia and again in 1863 when WV violated the 1787 Constitution and succeeded from Virginia to became a separate state during Lincoln's War.
See The battle of New Market: "During the twenty years prior to the Civil War there had been a large influx of German immigrants due to the political turmoil in Germany. Major General Franz Sigel was popular with the German population and had been an officer in Germany. However, he had suffered three major defeats in Germany and fled to New York in 1852. He became involved with a German school in New York City and later moved to St. Louis where there was a large German population and became director of schools. He was also involved in a movement to liberate Germany."
