Howard's ch; full power to give $2,000. in money or prop as she may chose bef her death.
to gr ch Fanny, Peter G. & Lucy Jane Howard: 320 acres of land, inc the tract as part of it, purchased by me of Cartmel & enough off western part of former tract to make the quantity after wife's death. To begin on road leading from Delaney's road to the Woodford line, running parallel with Mr. J. G. James & my line. if they die bef become lawful age or marry, that portion to be equally divided bet survivors, if all 3 die, entire est to go to dau Julia Ann Lincoln. Prop to be vested in & controlled by friends Leml. Sanders & Wm. Stanhope as Trustees, until they reach age or marry.
After wife's death, my negroes shall select purchasers, provided they pay a fair price, otherwise they must be sold in usual manner. None are to be sold to negro traders, who try to sell again in the Southern States.
to Peter G. Lincoln: $2,000 in prop or money, because he has lived with me the time that he was infant up to manhood.
To neice Ann T. Bartlett: $500 from sales after wife's death.
to my relative Lucy Ann Taliaferro: $250 from sales after wife's death.
1/8th acre for burial place for self & relatives inc graveyard in southern part of my garden, under direction of named friends. $1,000 to enclose same with stone wall or iron fence, and tombstones.

Early Virginia records speak of the relationship of this family to the Winston Family of Virginia. It is said that James and Sukie Reynolds settled in Caroline County, Virginia.
