"He received from his parents deeds of lands and chattels 2 Jun
1762 and 31 May 1765. After he died in 1785 his wife and
children went to Kentucky and settled near Lexington. He was
working an iron foundry in Orange Co. VA when he died, and his
Will was probated in 1786."
"He sold property Spotsylvania, Virginia, 1765.(1795) "In 1765,
John and Frances deeded this very same land to their son Joseph,
reserving a lifetime tenancy for themselves (Spotsylvania Co.,
Deed Book F, p. 563)."
Joseph Graves was married first to a Sarah, but there was
apparently no issue. Will probated 5 Dec 1786 (WB E, p.798,
Spotsylvania Co. Va Records).
In 1791 Frankey moved to Kentucky with all her children except
son Joseph.

Virginia Regiment was enlisted by me the tenth day of May 1777
for the term of three years given under my hand this 29th day of
October 1784. Peter Higgin, Late Lt. 8th Virginia Regiment
I do hereby certify that Jonathan Sadusky a soldier of the 8th
Virginia Regiment was in service in May 1780 and was captured at
Charles Town and remained a prisoner of war till some time in
June Eighty-One when he was returned dead in the returns of
Commisary of Prisoners. Given under my hand this 29th day of
October 1784. Abraham Hite Junior Late Captain of V.R.
Sir, As you are going to Richmond please to apply for my land
warrant as heir of Jonathan Sadusky deceased and bring it with
you and oblige. Sir, your humble servant Samuel Sadowski Nov.
11th day 1784.
At a court continued and held for Hampshire County the 10th day
of November 1784.
It being proven to the satisfaction of the court that Samuel
Sadowski is the heir of Jonathan Sadowski late a soldier in Col.
Howell's Regiment in the Continental Army now deceased which is
ordered to be certified.
