From: "Charles W. Ross" Subject: George Hay
"Hi: I am searching for information about George Hay [b. Dec. 15, 1765 d. Sept. 21, 1830]. He was a legislator in Virginia, U.S. District Attorney between 1803 and 1816, was one of the prosecutors it the 1807 treason trial of Aaron Burr. The second time he married he wed Eliza Kortwright Monroe, the daughter of Pres. James Monroe, on Oct. 17, 1808. What I am trying to discover is who was his first wife as he had at least two children by that union. One of the children, Marie Antoinette Hay married my third great grandfather, Col. Samuel Ringgold in 1814 after his first wife died. Is this ancestor connected to your family? Can you help me on this search?" Regards, Charlie Ross
