The Rev David Lindsay left his entire estate to his dau, Helen
d. 1698, "Lynsday" and named her as executrix. She m. 1st
Wiliam Wathen and 2nd Thomas Opie of Bristol, ENG.
In 1662 Rev. David Lyndsay faced a fine of 10000 lbs of tobacco;
he had married a servant of Col Richard Lee to another man's
servant without Lee's consent. Lyndsay appealed this to James
City, and the decision was overturned. He died in 1667, and we
find James Clayton a witness to his will.
