According to the book, "Jamestown and St. Mary's, buried cities
of romance" (page 224), by Henry Chandlee Forman, John Llewellyn
owned a residence on Middle Street in St. Mary's, Maryland. It
also gives John Llewellyn the title of Clerk of Council.
According to "Side-lights on Maryland History", Vol I, pp.
234-236, by Hester Dorsey Richardson, Mr. John Llewellyn was
appointed Clerk and Register of Land Office by Charles Calvert,
the third Lord Baltimore, on April 19, 1680."
