He wrote in 1847 a Letter to Wm H. Hodges from Pine Bluff P. O.
Calloway Co. KY. He said, "Religion is at a low ebb in this
country" Also talked about moving to South Alabama with some
others in the fall. Founder and 1st co-minister of the Locust
Grove Baptiat Church, 4.8 miles SSE of Murray, KY.
Minutes of the Locust Grove Baptist Church, Calloway County,
Kentucky:
Saturday preceding the third Sabbath in Feb., no preaching on
account of the disagreability of the weather; and the lose of
our Beloved Pastor: A. P. Hodges : who died on the 4th day of
Feb., about four oclock in the morning: in the year of our Lord
1853. (signed) W. Donnell."
