Volume 70, The Origin of The Carrington Family of Virginia, Page
269: John PERRATT, son of John and Ann (HALES) PERRATT, was a
Bridgetown merchant and brother-in-law of William MAYO. He owned
a 2,000-acre plantation in VA. called PERRATT's Nest. Goochland
Deeds, 2:159. For a rare and interesting letter from William
MAYO to this gentleman, dated 27 Aug 1731 see The Virginia
Magazine of History and Biography 32 (1924):55-7. PERRATT's
will, dated 23 Aug 1746 and probated 21 May 1747 (RB6/26/123) is
printed in Virginia Genealogical Society Quarterly 14 (1976):55.
The descendants of his daughter, Ann (PERRATT) STEGER of
Goochland Co., are listed in William E. PULLE, John Perratt Sr.
of Barbados 1654-1729 (Privately Printed 1976)

John Perratt , Jr., born 1686-1700 in England; died 1747 in St.
Phillips Parish, Barbados. He was the son of 68. John Perratt ,
Sr. and 69. Ann Hales. He married 35. Elizabeth Hales 07
September 1718 in St. Dunstan's, England154,155.
