"Data obtained from the original court records of Green County,
Kentucky, by Hattie Scott, Frankfort, Kentucky (Nov.-Dec. 1944)
Stephen Brockman of Clark County, Kentucky, deeds to Wm.
Bradshaw of Green County, Kentucky, 400 acres, beginning at two
poplars at Brockman's corner. Oct. 13, 1804 (Deed 4, page 130).
John Brockman appoints son Stephen Brockman attorney to manage
and transact business for myself and wife in Kentucky. Dec. 20,
1802.
Wts. Wm. Brockman, in Orange County, Va., came John Brockman,
and etc.,wts. (6-316)
Stephen Brockman of Christian County, Kentucky, and Thos. Pitman
of Mercer County, Ky. Whereas on Aug. 5, 1783, John Brockman,
father of Stephen, executed to Wm. Pitman, then of Lincoln
County, Ky. 3,795 acres located by Pitman for Brockman, etc.

6. The state of VA reserved all land south of the Green River in
KY for soldiers who served from VA during the Revolutionary War
and "Jno Brock" did obtain a land grant of 3,795 acres on Brush
Creek in Green co., KY on 24 Sep 1797.
7. Will dated 25 Sep 1823 and recorded 27 Dec 1824 in Orange
county, VA.
