506. Ephraim CLARKE died about 1796 in Hopkinton, Washington Co., Rhode Island. He married Hannah LANPHERE on 15 Dec 1744 in Westerly, Kings Co., Rhode Island.

The "Clarke" Families, page 255.
Ichabod and Ephraim Clarke were clearly related to the Westerly Clarkes, and in all probability lineal descendants of Joseph Clarke, of Westerly, but as yet no proof of this descent can be obtained. They were probably brothers of, or perhaps akin to that Ichabod Clarke who lived at Cumberland RI, about 1790. It is to be noted that the marriage dates of Ephraim and Ichabod Clarke of Westerly, are of about the same years as those of John and Samuel Clarke, of Cumberland RI and it is possible that these Cumberland Clarkes were closely related, if not brothers.
